The trend at the moment is how to lose weight and the Internet is full of people trying to give advice on that, but only a few of them are giving advice on how to add healthy weight. I am here to give some guidelines you need to follow to gain about 10 or more pounds in two months the natural way.
So what do you need to do?
Let’s begin and list the most important things to be done:
1. Consume only quality foods and in big quantities.
Some of you might be wondering which are quality and which are not. The answer basically is common sense.
You eat the ones that are full of calories, not overdosed with fats and that can be digested fast. We can mention here: lean red meat, chicken breast, fish, eggs, potatoes. You also have to include fruits and vegetables between your meals to get the necessary quantities of Vitamins and Minerals. You can blend the vegetables and fruits if you want to and make them digest faster.
Avoid canned products and always try to read the nutrition facts for every food, so you know how much calories you are getting each meal.
2. Workout every day, and include aerobic exercises.
The aerobic exercises use your body’s energy when performing them and don’t use oxygen as energy and thus they are very powerful. Plus it can be done in a short time. Some examples are: power lifting, swimming, climbing rope, martial arts and gymnastics.
3. Eat regularly.
By eating in regular intervals, your body gets used with that and tries to use the food for building more muscle and not for building more fat. In addition, the whole idea is to start eating more of everything like carbs, fats and proteins. Contrary when losing bodyweight, that you need to lower the carbs and the fats and increase the protein intake, here you have to increase all of them.
4. Consume fresh foods.
I’m not saying that everything should be raw, even meat, but what I mean is that you consume only fresh ones, raw implies only to vegetables and fruits. About the meats, the best way to get all of their benefits is to grill them. If you follow this guideline, you will gain bodyweight healthier and in a natural way. The worst thing you can do is cook the foods, as usually when cooked they lose most of their nutritients like the minerals, vitamins and enzymes, so try to avoid cooking them.
You either grill them or not at all.
By eating raw foods, you eliminate the wasteful substances that can be accumulated in your intestinal folds and also give your more appetite. Not to mention that cooking damages the proteins and their structure, leaving you without their essential nutritients. Another reason for not cooking it, is that in cooked food a lot of inorganic substances enter into the blood stream, thus making us feel tired after we have eaten.
What I am trying to say is that you have to add as many fresh and raw foods as you can, to help yourself add some pounds in the healthy way.
5. Sleep at least 7 hours every day.
When you sleep, important things happen within your body. Like cell reparation, muscle reparation and the best of all is that sleep often helps you remove the stress you have accumulated all day. Our body grows when we sleep and repairs the damages done when we have been exercising, especially repairing the muscle tissues.
Consume a lot of water through the day, before, in between and after meals to help your body digest the meals faster and leave room for other meals.
To sum it up, eat healthy food in more quantities as you normally do, do a lot of exercise to increase the amount of food your body needs, drink a lot of water, consume a lot of fruits and vegetables, especially raw and sleep at least 7 hours per day.
