There are a lot of methods which someone can use to add or lose bodyweight, but almost all of them are focused on what you consume and how much you exercise. Food is the most important thing you should focus when trying to add some extra pounds, as it is the basis of your whole body formation.
Here is a list of foods that you can use that are divided in categories:
They play an important role in muscle growth, mass growth and they also burn fats. Some great sources of them are: chicken breast, fish like: tuna, cod, salmon, trout and sardines. Also there are a lot of dairy products full of protein: mozzarella, low fat yogurt, whey, cottage cheese and skimmed milk. Other protein sources include: lean red meats, egg whites, turkey and skinned chicken.
Also vegetables are a great source of protein like: maize, broccoli, wheat, radish, bell peppers etc. Try to include dried fruits and nuts in your diet too.

Please stay away from other fats, especially those coming from pork, as they are very unhealthy.
Eliminate junk food to the maximum. I know you want to go to McDonalds and grab that low fat sandwich, but trust me that it’s not that low fat as you expect it is.
