Eat simple foods, in high quantities and more frequently. Avoid fast foods and prepare your own meals. Try to control yourself from them, and especially the ones containing a lot of fat.

Don’t try to increase your bodyweight by eating junk food. Period. They are full of fats and bad ones, including Trans fats which are very unhealthy for you and will only help you to add more waist.
Healthy fats are those containing omega 3, 6 and 9 in them, especially those found in salmon. So consuming it 3 times per week is a great idea. In general all fish contain those fatty acids, but salmon has them in high quantities, so you can choose whatever type of fish you like to eat.
Increase your calorie intake up to 250 or 500 more calories per day. You can do that by eating more meals through the day. Just get up early in the morning and start eating. Have like 6 or 7 meals a day ranging from 300 to 400 calories per meal. Don’t be stuck with only breakfast, lunch and dinner, eat more than those.
You might consider including a supplement into your diet such as whey protein. You drink it and you increase the amount of protein you consume daily. As simple as that. Consider it as a fast snack. They have different kind of tastes, so you have lots of choices like chocolate, strawberries and vanilla.
Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables per day and supply yourself with the necessary Minerals and Vitamins.
Start exercising. A good way to start is with aerobic exercises like swimming or martial arts.
Drink a lot of water and green tea. They are amazing and one of the most needed ingredients for your body.
Think positively and rest a lot.
