There are a lot of people struggling to gain bodyweight and at the same time building muscle. It seems that most of them are either overweight or underweight, so they are trying to get the ideal weight. But for some reasons a lot of them are having trouble gaining or maintaining it, especially adding more muscle is a tough challenge.
A lot of magazines that are focused on fitness claim that they found the secret formula for the easiest way to add a few pounds and pack on muscle. Don’t use them until you see what it’s on the diet and do your due diligence. If it was that easy and fast to lose and add pounds, we would see 1 in 2 people a bodybuilder, won’t we?
The fastest way to achieve your goal is to actually:
1. Follow a proper diet and consistently, and exercise so you force your body to build muscles and increase your appetite.
2. Make a plan that goes along your life style and your end goal.
3. Don’t deviate from your plan no matter what.
Trust me, the most important thing is determination, as determination will lead you to success. It doesn’t matter if you have been skinny your whole life, you just need to follow the plan consistently and gaining bodyweight will be fun and easy, and most importantly enjoyable.
Rule Number 1.
Consume more then you normally do. Start by adding 250 calories more per day. The rule implies that if you consume more then you burn, you gain. You should include more proteins in your regime, rather then carbs or fat, and increase them accordingly. If you fall in the “too skinny” category, then just consume more of everything, more of proteins, carbs and fats than you normally do.
Maybe this is very difficult for some people, so it is recommended that you eat about 8 meals per day, like every 2 or 3 hours in between them.
Rule Number 2.
Lifting. Working out is crucial. If you want to add some pounds and also add some muscles through the way, you should exercise. Period. You have to stimulate your body to want more food. You can exercise about 5 times a week if you want to see the results faster and boost your success.
Also, you should combine how much you eat with how much you train, and get a lot of rest after training. Resting is very important, since it will help your body repair itself and the muscle tissues broken through exercise. Please don’t underestimate this part.
Most of the people don’t reach their goal simply from over training and eating less, and resting lesser. So the most important things you need to follow as a general rule are:
